Teaching Aids: the multimedia and the blackboard

Teaching Procedures:

Step1 Free-talk and Lead- in

Show some pictures to students and ask them to talk about Africa .

Step 2  First  Reading

Ask students to skim the passage , get the gist and answer the 3 f questions:

Step 3. Second Reading

Listen to the tape to find clues and details

A. Topic sentence of each para.

B. Related exes.

Step 4 Third Reading

.Reread the text to find more such as attitudes, logic, and structure etc.

Step 5  Extension work

1.      Which part of the world would you like to visit? Why?

2.      Adventures such as mountain climbing and white-water rafting can be dangerous. Do you think it is worth risking your life for adventures? Why or why not?
